I just read that its illegal to transmit encrypted data over HAM frequencies. Is it just the FCC that enforces that? And how? And I guess generally "who enforces anything on HAM" is a recurring question I have that hams are probably annoyed at answering.

@jonny To add a little info that may increase clarity, encryption is a no-go, but encoding is fine. What's the difference? Encoding can be decoded by any listener-Morse code is a great example. We have loads of digital encoding methods, but anyone can look up the protocol and decode them. Encryption is meant to hide or obscure the transmission so that no one can read it.

Also the advice about drinking huge amounts of water and eating salt like it's my job do work for me if you're struggling and wondering what to do.

I just learned the other day that a lot of cinnamon is lead contaminated, pretty high levels. Matcha can have heavy metals, and chocolate. A lot of spices too. In general plants can absorb metals while they're growing and there's not enough standards of testing on these. It's one of those things that seems impossible to avoid because how can you know? It's not your fault that controls aren't in place and certifications aren't being done. So maybe it's impractical to worry about it but that doesn't change the physical danger of these. If we're going to be doing purity politics stuff and 'protect the children' stuff maybe we should be talking about it? Kids are especially susceptible to heavy metals because they can get incorporated into growing bones.

This week Trump's cronies shot a Christian Pastor, David Black, in the head as he peacefully protested ICE fascists.
And not one MAGA politician, pundit, or person has bothered to condemn it. Instead, they celebrate violence upon a Christian pastor.
