In gaming there's the adage "make them have it", i.e. if your opponent has a clear way to victory, you should still make them go through the motions, because they might make a mistake (or roll double-1s or whatever).
If the fascists' plan is to rig the election, they should be forced to actually attempt it and people should make it as hard for them as possible, simply so that there remains a chance, no matter how small, that they fail.
i'm growing weary of this "elections rigged now" sentiment
whether we have free and fair elections or are being sent to concentration camps, or anything else in between:

@benroyce I’m not saying people shouldn’t vote. If anything, we should work even harder to try to overcome the attempts to rig the vote or intimidate people to not show up.
the problem with that is to fight vote rigging, you need to be in power first. that's why you vote

I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, but it occurs to me that the fewer people that vote, the fewer people will be at the polls to stop the government from arresting anybody who shows up brown to vote.

There's also an absolute ton of left wing true believers who have internalized the psyop pushed world view. They can't just stop attacking Democrats. It's a core part of their identity now (and by "now" I mean like since the turn of the century or even earlier).
I don't have any insights on what to do about this problem. Just ... lamenting.

The press (some at least) appropriately presented this as a warning that T is opposed to democracy & wants to kill elections.
I’ve seen nothing about the fact that this is what his base actively wants.
Democracy is hard. I’m afraid election fatigue isn’t limited to MAGA.
The kind of representatives we need to fight this orange abnormality that should never have become President.
