My cat is trying to get me to chase her so she is howling at me from the bathtub because she thinks she's not allowed in the bathtub. She is though, and thats totally a rule she made up for herself, but I am playing my part and chasing her out of the bathtub for different reasons (because it is cute when she is all sprinting around). So now she effectively is banned from the bathtub and I am just like "this is how ideology works"

I was literally in the process of feeding her and she decided to continue to try and get me to feed her by knocking everything off my shelves and scratching all the couches, so now she doesnt understand why I am not completing the feeding because she does not understand game theory
In a repeated game, defecting is not a stable strategy, because it requires the other side to also continuously defect. I am just trying to get us back to Nash equilibrium

@jonny@neuromatch.social My cat @hermione@pixelfed.fr also likes when I chase her. Usually I start dashing at her in the living room, and she runs at full speed towards the bedroom where she hides under the bed.
She also likes to get into the (empty) bathtub when I’m in the bathroom, and I never thought about it, but it may well be that she wants me to chase her too when she does that. I’ll give it a try next time, thanks for the idea!
