Our decision to withdraw our NSF funding application was grounded in our commitment to The Carpentries' core values, which explicitly promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in programming. “It’s not just providing a diverse community of learners with the necessary technical skills,” our Executive Director @drkariljordan and Associate Director, Erin Becker, are quoted in the article, adding, “It’s also making sure they feel recognized, supported, and empowered.”
