Watched Terrence Malick's A Hidden Life: incredible film on the crushing pressure of living in a dictatorship. Franz Jägerstätter was an Austrian farmer who refused to fight for Hitler. Moments reminded me of my grandpa's memoir of prison during Stalin's purges https://www.npr.org/2019/12/23/790906638/in-austrias-alps-a-hidden-life-of-world-war-ii-resistance

Respectfully.
A big part of the problem is that we're constantly watching something or reading a post. All this does is keep us agitated and distracted from the hard work of organizing.
Now I see another protest is planned. More distractions and wasted time.
We need to do what Jane McAlevey said - mobilize, organize.
Read what I started last February. This isn't about me, it's about us.
@townhallcitizen We're going to have to walk and chew gum at the same time. Watching films, protests, etc. sustain the all important work of building political power. As I always say on Gaslit Nation: there's no substitute to building political power
