Because Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do, but mentally you just filtered out all the evil, crazy, stupid initiatives he presented throughout the campaign. He even published his entire plan in the document "Project 2025", but you chose not to read it. YOU chose to walk blindly off the cliff, because the tour guide was a great entertainer. YOU did that."

@ProcessParsnip I have heard that in videos multiple times where MAGA voters complain about everything from inflation to getting fired to losing customers — this is not why I voted for Trump, this is not the Trump I voted for, or something synonymous.

@randahl I think we've talked about this before, but the thing I want everyone who is surprised by how this is going, whether they voted for Trump, or Harris, or didn't vote, doesn't matter. If a body is surprised at what's happening, I really really really need them to take a deep look at where and how they get their information, and then try to find ways to get information that are similar to people who weren't surprised.
@randahl I completely agree with all of this, but a more important point, to me, would be that, if they're disallusioned with the reality of Trump that they are currently experiencing, maybe we can get them on side.

I'm going with, "it is, we knew about the Project 2025 and Epstein stuff but too much media smothered it. You were fooled by what looked like reporting."
I KNOW too many of them sought out being fooled. But we need to get them to *act differently* and they're probably resentment-activated.
I would be more gentle, but doing everything possible to encourage their disillusionment.
