In the process of shifting my indieweb.social account here ...

strategist, software engineer, entrepreneur, activist ... and I run the Nexus of Privacy newsletter (https://privacy.thenexus.today, @thenexusofprivacy, @thenexusofprivacy.net on Bluesky, and https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/thenexusofprivacy

I've been on the fediverse for a long time, so you may know me from accounts like @jdp23 @jdp23, @jdp23, and @jdp23. I'm probably going to use this as my main "public-facing" account, although I'm still not completely sure how I'll balance this and my blahaj.zone account ... blahaj.zone is a great community, so I'm certainly not planning on leaving there, but one of the things I really like about the fediverse is the ability to have more than one account. So, we shall see!

#strategy #equity #justice #technology #policy #disinfo #privacy #algorithmicJustice, #intersectionality #activism #organizing #software #startups ...

And #nobot without permission. Opt-out isn't consent, but it's the only real option we have here.

The Courtois project on Neural Modelling (cneuromod) aims at training artificial neural networks using extensive experimental data on individual human brain activity and behaviour. Six subjects (three women, three men) are getting scanned weekly for five years, for a total of 500 hours of functional data per subject, including functional localizers (vision, language, memory, emotion), movies and video game play. Functional neuroimaging data are collected with both functional magnetic resonance imaging, magnetoencephalography and a variety of sensors (including electrodermal activity and occulometry).

The cneuromod project is funded by a donation of the Courtois foundation. Courtois NeuroMod data are freely shared with the scientific community to advance research at the interface of neuroscience and artificial intelligence.

My book, The Entangled Brain, is aimed at a general audience interested in science, and discusses how we can think of the brain in terms of distributed processing that strongly blurs the boundaries between traditional domains, such as perception, cognition, action, emotion, and motivation.
