@neil so only Google Android (not any of the open source variants) and iPhone supported then? So you are going to force everyone to spend exorbitant amounts on hardware ALL of which is currently shit for repair/replace
so a mountain of electronic waste.

Also you’re looking at £1-2bn minimum for the IT infrastructure required … which will sit on US corporates cloud hardware and cost 100’s of £millions per year to run everything.

On top of all of that it’ll likely be flakey as hell and a nice easy target for hackers - even just a DDoS would cause havoc.

All for what, stopping some sick people getting treatment at a hospital? Or doing a little bit of work to earn money to feed their families?

Maybe, just forgot about a ridiculous ID system and just divert the money to feeding/helping migrants. Seriously are people *that* xenophobic that they would entertain this ridiculous idea rather than just help people in need?

I wonder how quickly this will morph into:
